The problem I was having is that I would never receive the email. I tried several email addresses including a GMail and Hosted GMail address.

The fix for me was a plugin named Comments Notifier.

Comments Notifier was designed for blogs that have more than one moderater or getting comment notifications at more than one email address. However, with the plugin installed, I now receive comment notifications at my GMail address (still not at my hosted GMail address though).

If you are not receiving notifications of new email addresses, try installing this plugin.

I (finally) updated my blog to WordPress 3.3.2 and am really excited about this update becuase it includes drag and drop media support!

Adding photos or other files to posts and pages just got easier. Drag files from your desktop and drop them into the uploader. Add one file at a time, or many at once.

They have also streamedlined things and once your file is uploaded, the appropriate fields will be displayed for entering information based on the file type.

The update includes a bunch of other goodies so update your blog if you haven’t yet.

There is no shortage of good calendar apps for the iPhone. But I now have a new favorite, it’s called Calendars – Google Calendar client.

Why is it my favorite? Three simple words; Drag and Drop.

I use Google Calendar for all of my appointments and Google Tasks and Remember The Milk for my tasks. Calendars app syncs with both Google Calendar and Google Tasks. And did I mention it supports drag and drop?

I have only been using the app for a day but the calendar portion of the app is beautiful, it’s easy to use, is syncs all of my calendars, and I love being able to easily swith between my calendar and tasks.

The only downside is that the app costs $6.99. I rarely buy any apps and think I have only bought 1 or 2 apps for more than $1 but so far Calendars has been well worth the $7.

What makes Calendars unique:

? Application Interface
It is clean, agile and focused on your productivity.

? Drag & Drop for events
You can move and change the duration of your events in a Day, Week or Month view with Drag & Drop. Just tap and hold on the event to activate it.

?
?
What else Calendars lets you do:

? Save time with history list, inviting the same people again.

? It’s much better than Push notifications!

? In the List view all events are shown chronologically.

? This is exactly what you need to remember birthdays and anniversaries.

I love the look of this iPhone case. Most iPhone cases that provide protection against water are very bukly. This soft case is only 0.25mm thick! The iPhone case is only $37 and the iPad case is only $50.

Today, there are numerous free resources anyone can use to learn to code. One of my favorite is CodeYear.

I love this quote by CodeYear designer Sacha Greif,

“I can’t think of many other skills that enable you to create something from scratch and reach as many people as knowing how to set up a simple website”

This is the exact reason why I wanted to learn to code, to be able to create something from scratch. Image the days before computers, if you wanted to make something, it would have to be built or fabricated from wood, metal or some other material. Today, almost anyone can easily create whatever they can dream up.

Quote link

Update:

Here is another article about learning to code. I love the analogy between being able to read and write 300 years ago and knowing how to program today,

300 years ago, Bishay said, “you would have to hire to write a letter for you, and hire them to read the letter for you. It is just insane.” Today most people hire a skilled programmer to write computer programs for them.

Google+ has updated their iPhone app and it looks amazing.

The new app design is a stunning departure from the previous Google+ app and from the Google+ site interface itself. Released on May 9, it turns the act of scanning social media updates into a highly visual experience by combining a slick rendering of your avatar with the signature image of whatever you’re posting and then overlaying the first two lines of your text. The effect is quite appealing, and addicting.

But have you noticed how visual the web has become?

Sites like Pinterest and apps like Flipboard and Instagram are flourishing. Facebook is constantly redesigning their layout to be more visual, and bing search on the web and iPhone are beautiful.

So what does that mean for your website (and mine)? It might need to be redesigned to focus more on images.
